These are some pictures of some a spider found in a backyard in South Tucson. It may be a Sheet web Spider (Family Linyphiidae)
The neighbor called me over again to see a spider. This one looks like a Sheet Web, a common type, and this is a pretty big one
I put on a glove and used some tweezers to hold a dime near the spider. I wasn't going to take a chance of this actually being a jumping poisonous spider. I couldn't get the dime anywhere near him (the wind was blowing the web back and forth) so he looks smaller than he is. He's about the size of a quarter
Some shots from the side
A few pictures of the web. This is a corner of the yard the neighbor doesn't use, so it's had plenty of time to build this web
